Last Day of Vacation

We took Jayden down to the lobby for one last performance in the lobby before we headed to the water park.

These are the slides that our "big boy" loved going down. He was even going down backwards by the time we left for the day.

Next door to our hotel was the Kansas Speedway, so we went over there this afternoon to get a peek at the track.

Today before we headed back home we took Jayden to a restaurant with a dinosaur theme, T-Rex.

Kansas City - Day 3

Today we played in the waterpark at the hotel for awhile and then went for dinner and shopping at The Legends, an outdoor area by our hotel.

After dinner we went shopping, but it started raining so we went in a bar/restaurant for a few mintues until it stopped. Jayden is laying in the booth with Dada's sunglasses on.

Kansas City - Day 2

This morning at breakfast, a waitress brought her pet bunny by to see Jayden. Here he is petting it.

While we were in Kansas City on vacation, the Cardinals were playing the Royals so we went to the game tonight. It was a great game...the Cards were victorious 10-5.

After the game, they had a fireworks show. Here is Mama and Jayden watching from the parking lot.

Vacation 2009 - Great Wolf Lodge

Today we took Jayden on vacation to Great Wolf Lodge in Kansas City, Kansas. We arrived at the hotel, which features an indoor waterpark. Mama and Dada were a little nervous, as Jayden hasn't been "swimming" since last summer but Jayden enjoyed it right away. The hotel was great and we had a wonderful long weekend.

During dinner, they gathered the kids for a musical parade around the restaurant. Here Jayden is listening closely for instructions.

In the lobby, they have a show with singing and talking figurines that perform 4 times a day. Tonight we took Jayden down for the show followed by storytime in the lobby.

After the show was over, of course he needed to check out the animals that had been performing.

Highland's 2009 Schweizerfest

Tonight was Jayden's first experience with "carnival rides". We had some crying after getting off some of the rides, especially the big slide, but overall he really enjoyed himself.

Susan G. Komen 5K Race for the Cure

Getting ready for the walk...with a balloon and everything.

Over 66,000 people participated. Here is a look in front of us...and we were in the middle. Way to go St. Louis!

Paw Paw's Birthday - Motorcycle Rodeo

Tonight Mama and Dada took Jayden to his first motorcycle event for Paw Paw's birthday. Jayden loved inspecting the hundreds of motorcycles at the event but kept coming back to the one little motorcycle there. He is definitely his Dada's boy!!

Dada's Special Bath

Tonight Dada promised Jayden (on the way home in the car) a special (surprise) bath. Mama and Jayden didn't know what the surprise was but Jayden was extremely happy to find out that Dada was giving him his first bath in Mama and Dada's whirpool tub.

Jayden even learned how to operate the bubbles.
