Vacation 2009 - Great Wolf Lodge

Today we took Jayden on vacation to Great Wolf Lodge in Kansas City, Kansas. We arrived at the hotel, which features an indoor waterpark. Mama and Dada were a little nervous, as Jayden hasn't been "swimming" since last summer but Jayden enjoyed it right away. The hotel was great and we had a wonderful long weekend.

Mama and Jayden posing during dinner in the "camp-themed" restaurant at the lodge.

During dinner, they gathered the kids for a musical parade around the restaurant. Here Jayden is listening closely for instructions.

Jayden is not so sure about meeting the mascot of the lodge.

In the lobby, they have a show with singing and talking figurines that perform 4 times a day. Tonight we took Jayden down for the show followed by storytime in the lobby.

After the show was over, of course he needed to check out the animals that had been performing.

Highland's 2009 Schweizerfest

Tonight was Jayden's first experience with "carnival rides". We had some crying after getting off some of the rides, especially the big slide, but overall he really enjoyed himself.

Getting ready for the walk...with a balloon and everything.

Over 66,000 people participated. Here is a look in front of us...and we were in the middle. Way to go St. Louis!

A celebratory lunch at Quizno's in Union Station afterwards.

Paw Paw's Birthday - Motorcycle Rodeo

Tonight Mama and Dada took Jayden to his first motorcycle event for Paw Paw's birthday. Jayden loved inspecting the hundreds of motorcycles at the event but kept coming back to the one little motorcycle there. He is definitely his Dada's boy!!

Dada's Special Bath

Tonight Dada promised Jayden (on the way home in the car) a special (surprise) bath. Mama and Jayden didn't know what the surprise was but Jayden was extremely happy to find out that Dada was giving him his first bath in Mama and Dada's whirpool tub.

Jayden even learned how to operate the bubbles.

2nd Trip to Marshfield, MO

This weekend Jayden took his second trip down to Marshfield to see his Great Grandpa Green. This time everyone went...Mama, Dada, Jayden, Mimi, Papi & Aunt Bear.

Here Jayden and Papi are checking out the farmer with the hose.

They had to check him out up close (with the water off).

Jayden playing with Great Grandpa Green.

Jayden loved Grandpa's tree. Papi helped him up in the tree.

Posing in Grandpa's landscaping.

Great Grandpa showed Jayden how to feed the birds. Here is Jayden doing it by himself.

The Generations!!

Jayden had to pose in HIS tree before we hit the road back home.

Oh, and one last pose with Great Grandpa Green.

Jayden's First Cards/Cubs game

Tonight Mama and Dada took Jayden to his first Cards/Cubs game. Hopefully Jayden will get to enjoy many many more of these in his lifetime. Our tickets were great for Jayden because we were in the first row of our section and on the aisle by this landing which overlooked the visitors bullpen. He learned "Charge" during this game -he throws his fist in the air and yells.

Watching the Cubs pitcher warm-up before the game.

The best part...sharing Dippin' Dots with Dad.

Jayden enjoys a ride on Dad's shoulders back to the car after a great game (more importantly a win against the Cubs).

1st 2009 Cardinals Game

Today Mama, Jayden, Mimi, Aunt Tara and Papi went to the Cardinals game for Papi's birthday. It was Jayden's first game this season. He had a really good time and surprisingly behaved very well considering the game was during naptime.

Aunt Tara took Jayden down to see Fredbird up close for the first time.

Happy Birthday Papi!

Happy Mother's Day

For Mother's Day, we took Jayden and cousin Jacob to get their pictures taken. Jayden is 20 months old and Jacob is 16 months old. They are both starting to look like little boys instead of our little babies.

Remembering Nenapa

Today we are remembering Jayden's Nenapa. Unfortunately, we lost Nenapa one year ago today. However, we know he is looking down upon us and is with us in our lives everyday. There is no doubt that Jayden will know how special of a person he was and how much he loved Jayden.
