Morning at the Zoo

It was in the lower 60's today in St. Louis so we took advantage of a break in the winter weather and spent a family day at the zoo. Jayden had a real good time and he recognizes so many more animals than he did when we went 5 months ago.

We enjoy the ride on the "Choo Choo Train".

More Snow!

We were lucky enough to get another 4-6 inches of snow last night so this afternoon we took Jayden outside to sled and play in the snow again!

Let it Snow!

It finally snowed enough to go out and play so when Dada got home from work we loaded on the layers and went out to play.

Mama's Little Helper

Jayden loves to help with everything now. He always wants to help with laundry and unloading the dishwasher. Tonight Mama was dusting and she turned around to surprisingly notice that Jayden had went into the kitchen and got a towel out of the drawer and was helping. Mama hopes this enthusiasm for helping lasts a long time.

Playing at Brayden & Ella's House

This morning we went over to Brayden & Ella's house to play. Jayden really enjoyed getting to play with all of their toys.

Elmo's Green Thumb

Tonight, Mama & Dada took Jayden to the Sesame Street Live show, "Elmo's Green Thumb", at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis. He was fascinated with the presence of all of his favorite characters and enjoyed dancing and dancing and dancing some more to all of the fun songs during the show.

Before we left, Jayden had to blow Elmo a kiss good-bye.

Happy MLK Day!!

Mama & Dada were both off work today, so we went to visit Nena since she is leaving for a 2-week vacation to California tomorrow.

After visiting with Nena, we took Jayden to Chuck E. Cheese for lunch.

As you can tell, his favorite ride is still the Barney ride. We even caught him trying to kiss Barney - we managed to stop him before he put his mouth on a germ filled Barney.

The last time we took Jayden to Chuck E. Cheese was about 4 months ago (the picture on the left). Its amazing how much older he looks in such a short amount of time. Wow, how fast they grow!!

Happy Birthday Dada

Today was Dada's birthday so we went out to dinner to celebrate!

First Haircut

Today Mama and Mimi took Jayden to get his first haircut. Mama finally had to concede, as his mullet was growing out of control. Its is just one more thing that reminds Mama that she officially has a little boy who is not a baby anymore.

After Jayden's haircut we took Jayden to McDonald's to make up for the experience.

Showering with Dada

Instead of bathtime, tonight Dada let Jayden take a shower with him. Jayden thought that was fascinating and did not want to get out!

Jacob is One!

Cousin Jacob turned one today!! Its hard to believe how fast time flies. Jacob's party today was a success and everyone seemed to have a great time!

Since Jacob's birthday was so close to Christmas, Mama and Dada were a little nervous on how Jayden would react to Jacob opening presents (and Jayden not getting to tear into his own) so we distracted him during the opening of presents with coloring. It worked like a charm!

He Shoots, He Scores!

Jayden is feeling a little bit better (after passing the cold to Mama) so Dada got out Jayden's new basketball hoop for some fun. He really likes dunking and he laughs when you say "He shoots, he scores!"

Jayden is off to a rough start to 2009 with a nasty cold. We hope it doesn't last much longer and are just thankful that he didn't come down with this until after Christmas.
